Install the Chrome/Edge extension to securely auto-fill long-form content across WeChat, Zhihu, Juejin, Reddit, and X.
The MuseCanto Browser Extension (Manifest V3 architecture) is the local security conduit between your MuseCanto cloud workspace and external content platforms. It allows you to synchronize articles directly into native creator editors without surrendering account passwords or session cookies to third-party servers.
1. Installation & Setup
Visit the official Chrome Web Store page and click Add to Chrome (also fully compatible with Microsoft Edge).
If you are in an enterprise offline environment:
- Download the latest extension ZIP from MuseCanto Downloads and extract it to a permanent folder.
- Open
chrome://extensions(oredge://extensionsin Edge) in your browser. - Toggle on Developer mode in the top right corner.
- Click Load unpacked and select the directory containing
manifest.json.
Important Notice
Keep the extracted directory intact. Never enable both the Store version and the unpacked version simultaneously to prevent message port conflicts.
Pin the MuseCanto icon to your browser toolbar. Click the icon to open the Side Panel, then sign in with your MuseCanto credentials to establish the local connection.
2. Platform-Specific Publishing Guides
Open any document in MuseCanto, expand the right-hand Distribution Console, select your desired targets, and launch the job.
WeChat Official Account (微信公众号)
- Behavior: The extension automatically opens the WeChat MP editor, compiles Markdown into inline-styled mobile-optimized HTML, and saves it as a draft.
- Prerequisites: Ensure you are signed in to
mp.weixin.qq.comin your browser. - Final Check: After the draft is saved, open WeChat MP to set your 16:9 cover image and declare original work status before broadcasting.
